The 11th edition will see quite a facelift for the mountainbike race as all three stage courses are scheduled to be vastly modified. The precise maps and profiles will only be available after the winter period, which means in May, but riders can be assured of approximately 200 km in total over three days, just like in the past. It is possible that the first stage will be longer, and therefore also have an earlier starting time. As such, all mountainbikers are requested to travel to Xiwuqi on Thursday, and not on Friday morning as you might miss the start. The last stage on Sunday is therefore projected to be a bit shorter, so as to enable all participants to take the return bus to Beijing in the afternoon. The timing of that bus cannot be postponed or changed as per local regulations.
The beloved running course of the marathon, half marathon and short 10k run are scheduled to remain largely the same, and the races will start as usual at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning.
