MTB: time trial distance confirmed at 5.8km

Our technical mission in Xiwuqi has today confirmed the track for the first ever Nadamu individual time trial, scheduled for Friday morning, 4 July. The time trial is bait for explosive riders who can go all out for 5.8 kilometres around the Nadamu Arena.

Right after the start in front of the grandstand, participants will go up a modest slope before a nicely rolling descent allows one to recharge the battery. That will be needed in order to power home on the flat re-entry to the Nadamu Arena, up a short but technical slope to the finish.

This is a time trial anyone can do, and people doing the short distance of the MTB Adventure that starts in the afternoon will find a great opportunity to challenge themselves against the stars of the long distance. Moreover, the winner will set a record time for the Nadamu Lap that will go into the books as the target for next year!

The time trial is limited to 150 participants in total and does NOT count for the overall classification of the MTB Adventure. So nobody has anything to lose: even if you’re not a time trialist, participating is the best way to warm up the legs for what comes after!
