About Us

The Genghis Khan Festival, first organised in 2007 and most recently in 2019, consisted of two different sports disciplines: mountainbiking and cross country running. Together they made up the iconic King of the Grasslands Challenge (KOG). Now rebranded and redesigned in 2023, the Xiwuqi KOG has a long distance run of 50km, a 30km individual time trial cycling and a 112km Cyclo Xiwuqi cycling race the next morning. All competitions take place in and through the grasslands surrounding Xiwuqi town and cater for all levels of athletes as shorter distances are also available. This is a unique event in China.
